Xwnia Born & raised in México, fell in love with electronic music at the age of vii years when she star clubbing.
She has developed and exquisite taste in music influenced by different cultures, London, Chicago & French house are part of her taste. She start learning how to dj on the summer of 2011 when she was base in London.
Her obsession with the endless rare house genre describe her the best from Old school house to Disco-ish to 90’s to Jazzid to Acid to deep house & a touch of minimal groove... , Resulting in sensual sounds in between the saxophone, vocals, and synths that exudes sensuality such as a guilty pleasure in the dance floor.
Coming up soon lately she has been planing to do new sets with chill jazz as she had a background when she was a child listening to jazz.
Spinning records, crossing genres in her sophisticate essence mixing her own style and her obsession with early House Music genre, she has found a way to blend all of her passions. When she isn’t seaside, Xwnia is most probably sifting through a record store somewhere in the world to add to her growing collection, she has played on the Hottest clubs & parties around México, like (Nana Rooftop, Fünk, Sic, PPP, Casa Jaguar.) New York (The Lot Radio) & this summer Around Europe (Cafe Barge), sharing decks with djs like Apollonia, [a:rpia:r], Danna Run, Dewalta, Dj Tennis, Francesca Lombardo, Francesco del Garda, Margared Dygas, tINI, Lamache, Vlada etc.
Her own signature lead her to play some important gigs to start 2023 like Day Zero & Circoloco. & 2024 Trotamundos & Circoloco again,
Xwnia has a deep connection with fashion collaborating as a stylist, which allows her to play for different brands event such as Gucci, DNA mag, Dior, DVF and more.
She got her first residency at Casa Morelos (2014-2017) Mty. Nana Rooftop (2020-2022) & now you can find her at Fünk (2024) & her own party nkd.rec.
